Auburn and Geneva Barking for a Park

Every dog has it day, and dogs in Auburn and Geneva hope that's the case.

The race is on between Auburn, Geneva and many other cities, villages, and towns looking to win one of four monetary prizes in the "Bark For Your Park" on line contest from www.petsafe.net.

PetSafe, who leads the industry in the development of innovative pet behavior, containment, and lifestyle, is giving away the top prize of $100,000 to build a PetSafe dog park.  There will also be four $25,000 prizes given away this summer.

Auburn was in the competition last year and made the Top 15 but did not win any money.  This is the first attempt for Geneva.  The top 15 wll have to produce a 2-minute video that invites dogs to their dog park. Voting on line can be done twice a day.  This morning Auburn had almost 800 votes and Geneva had almost 100.

The winners will be announced July 31st.
