Congressman Maffei Invites President Obama to Auburn

While a bill to declare the Harriet Tubman home in Auburn a national historical park in Congress awaits a vote, Congressman Dan Maffei is inviting President Obama to visit the home on South Street. In a letter to the President, Maffei says establishing the park is not just about Auburn's past, but also its future. Maffei introduced the bill in February. Similar bills were presented in the past, but were never voted on.
