Update: Auburn Junior High on Boil Water Order After WaterMain Break

UPDATE: The City of Auburn has successfully repaired the water main break on Franklin Street. Residents should not experience any disruption in service.

Auburn Junior High School was impacted by the water main break and is now under a Boil Water Order.

END UPDATE:::

Direct route to Cayuga Community College has been shut down after a valve that malfunctioned during routine maintenance. The City of Auburn is working to repair a watermain break at the intersection of Franklin Street and Prospect Street. Residents in the City of Auburn may experience low water pressure, especially those residing at higher elevations. At this time the water is safe for consumption.

The intersection has been closed and traffic must find a way around. Water has been cut off to the junior high school while partial service remains at CCC.
