Border Patrol Detains Two, One Deported In Bath

Two Chinese citizens were detained by deputies in Bath and one was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol, according to a statement from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.

20 year old Ailing Zheng of China, was determined to be in the country illegally after her student visa was terminated, deputies said.

The other person who was detained was released after the border patrol determined she was in the country legally.

The two were detained after deputies stopped the driver of the minivan in which they were riding and cited the driver for driving without headlights on.
