Congressman Dan Maffei's district office in Auburn is open for business.
The Democratic Congressman hosted an open house last night at the new office which is located at 24 State St.
Maffei's Auburn office will be staffed by Ian Phillips, an Auburn native who is also serving as Maffei's district manager.
According to the Auburn Citizen, Maffei last night touted the history of Auburn. He also mentioned the legislation introduced in both houses of Congress to create national historical parks, including one in Auburn, honoring abolitionist Harriet Tubman.
Maffei also has offices in Syracuse and Oswego.
