Cause of Schuyler Shared Services Building Fire Determined

We have an update on the early Saturday morning fire that caused approximately one-MILLION dollars worth of damage at the Schuyler County Shared Services Building in Watkins Glen.  Watkins Glen Fire Chief Dominick Smith.

County and state fire investigators worked the scene most of the day Saturday. We asked Schuyler County Emergency Management Director Bill Kennedy why the state would investigate.



11 fire companies from around the area helped Watkins Glen battle the blaze. Smith says they're grateful for all the help they received.




One firefighter suffered a broken shoulder battling Saturday's fire. He was released from the hospital Saturday.
