When police entered an abandoned downtown bar in Herkimer Thursday morning the murder suspect who had been holed up for 15 hours fired at them almost immediately.
State Police say Kurt Myers shot and killed a police dog and also fired through a doorway at the FBI agents and New York state police who were entering the building. They fired back and killed Myers.
