It's time to celebrate with New York State's Maple producers. This Saturday and Sunday marks the first of two Maple Weekends.
Event Co-founder Greg Zimpfer whose operation is near Attica tells us 2012 was a down year because it was so warm. It fact they were off by 54% compared to 2011. The weather is also playing tricks this year but in the other direction.
There are numerous sites in the area where you can enjoy all the pancakes and maple syrup you can eat and then take farm and sugarhouse tours.
