Two Penn Yan men have been arrested and charged following an investigation into drug sales by Penn Yan Village and NYS Police Thursday. 24 year old Jeffrey Kearns and 21 year old Zacharie Hicks have been charged with multiple counts of criminal sale of controlled substance and criminal possession of controlled substance.

Hicks also has charges pending for selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a day care or school. According to police Kearns allegedly sold crack cocaine and heroin on several different dates, and Hicks allegedly sold cocaine and heroin on multiple dates. Police recovered cocaine, steroids, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash, surveillance equipment, multiple cell phones and three vehicles while executing a search warrant. Kearns and Hicks were taken to the Yates County Jail and are being held on superior court warrants, pending arraignment.
