Auburn Community Hospital will be receiving a discount on their water. The Auburn Citizen reports the City Council voted last week on a 25 cent discount on every unit of water used by the hospital for the next year. That means the hospital will save about $14,000. Councilor Matt Smith says that the hospital deserves the break, adding losing it would mean losing this city. Councilor John Comardo was the only Councilman to vote no, saying the $14,000 Auburn Community Hospital would save amounts to obligations to the city.
