One of the three people arrested last September for trespassing at the gate of the Inergy owned entrance to the Compressor Station and North Brine Field, where the natural gas and natural gas liquids storage facility is being proposed, is scheduled to appear in court later today.
Jeremy Alderson will appear in Reading Town Court at 1:30 p.m. Alderson, the Reverend Gary Judson and Susan Walker were arrested September 6th for their staged protest. Alderson spoke with us that day after chaining himself to a fence at the site.
The "Seneca Three" as they were called, were arraigned in Reading Town Court that evening. Reverend Judson plead guilty at the arraignment and paid a $275 fine. Walker plead guilty but refused to pay the fine and was sentenced to a 15 day jail term. Alderson plead not guilty and his trial has been on hold since.
