A local pup was looking to be "top dog" at the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City this week.
"Scout," a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and his owner Terri Clingerman from North Rose in Wayne County competed yesterday for the "Best In Breed" in the Herding category.

"Scout" will have to try again next year. "Bugaboo's Perfect Picture"- an Old English Sheep Dog was the winner of the breed.
There are more than 2,700 entries in the entire competition this year, the most ever in the show's 137-year history.
