Geneva's Musselman Triathlon have just been rated an "editor's choice event" this year by Triathlete Magazine which has a coast to coast circulation of 200-thousand.
Musselman is one of only four races to be named from the northeastern United States. Triathlete, with a circulation of 200,000, is the largest triathlon magazine in the world.
Triathlete cites Musselman’s “small-town feel, eco-friendly practices, and passionate race director” as reasons that the event was chosen for inclusion in its list of top races for 2013. The magazine makes mention of the beauty of upstate New York, inviting readers to “swim in one of the crystal-clear Finger Lakes, and bike past pristine Mennonite farms (watch for grooves in the road from buggy wheels!) and rolling vineyards.” It also mentions the abundance of fresh fruit provided by presenting sponsor Red Jacket Orchards.
Race Director Jeff Henderson says the write up highly praised the Musselman for the race itself and the venue .

Henderson says they are really stepping on a national stage now.
Race weekend is July 12th through the 14th this year. The Musselman now in its 10th year.
