Save the date! Cayuga Community College teaming up with the Seward House, the Harriet Tubman Boosters Club, and Women's Rights National Historical Park for a two-day symposium in November. It's called Harriet Tubman: No Longer Underground, and will be hosted at the college's Auburn campus on November 8th and 9th.
The symposium will celebrate Tubman's life and legacy, and will include a community dialogue on race and cultural diversity. Tubman, who escaped the shackles of slavery and helped other slaves find freedom through the Underground Railroad, died in 1913 in Auburn.
