A Farmington barn fire has killed 31 young cows.
Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies say the fire was reported by a passerby just after 1:30 this morning. The barn on Fox Road in Farmington is owned by Alan and Robin Sadler.
Also lost in the fire were several pieces of farm equipment and hay.
Assisting the Farmington Fire Department were Victor, Port Gibson, Manchester, and Macedon firefighters.
The 31 yearlings, the barn, and its contents were insured. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
