The man accused of killing Katie Socci is rejecting a plea deal. The Auburn Citizen reports David McNamara said no to a deal would have sent him to prison for 22 years in exchange for pleading guilty to second-degree murder. But the 36-year-old has opted to take his chance in court.
McNamara is facing trial in March for strangling Socci to death in her Auburn home in June 2011.
