Yesterday was the 42nd Annual Martin Luther King Memorial Service in Geneva.
Bishop John Dixon of the Saint Paul's Full Gospel Baptist Church in Geneva told those attending service not to judge a book by its cover.
Dixon said bad things can happen when you look only at someone on the outside, for an example he referenced the Corey Jackson shooting and the fact that the shooter is still walking free today.
Corey Jackson was shot to death by Geneva police in May 2011.
