On January 19, 2013, Auburn Community Hospital held its third annual New Year New Life, Operation Excellence – A Stitch in Time, Gala, in support of the New Life Begins Initiative. This initiative’s goal is the continued support of hospital services that are at the center of its mission to provide compassionate, high quality care to the patients of our community. The Jazzy theme transformed the Grand Ballroom at the Holiday Inn into a celebration of the hospitals past achievements and future contributions to the health and well-being of the community. Shimmering lights, elegantly dressed guests and jazz music made this a memorable evening.
A Live Auction and “Champagne Wishes”, combined with the support of our sponsors and community members, brought the gala much success. All funds raised will go toward advancements in the Hospital’s Day Surgery and Recovery Units. Specifically, Day Surgery and Recovery includes pre-admission testing, outpatient surgical procedures, endoscopy services and patient recovery monitoring in the post-anesthesia care unit. Upgrades in technology and equipment will enable our physicians and staff to provide state-of-the-art patient care.

The celebration honored three outstanding community members with ACH’s Lifetime Leadership Award for longstanding dedication to the hospital and our community. Those honored were Dr. Donald Delahanty, Dr. Richard Freeman, both ACH physicians for decades, and Mr. G. William Ryan, former ACH Board Member whose impacts on the hospital and community were recognized.
Scott Berlucchi, President/CEO of ACH noted, “The people of our community have always been very generous, giving freely to worthwhile endeavors, and we at ACH were once again overwhelmed by the generosity of the night’s Gala. Supporting Auburn Community Hospital will provide a return for our community in the form of excellent health care for all. We could not complete our vision and plans for 2013 without your help. We had remarkable growth in 2012 and will continue to implement new Quality Improvement Programs while keeping our ever supportive community informed as we enhance our environment of care and the services we provide.”
