Less Than a Year In, Bath Mayor to Step Down

After less than a year in office, Bath Village Mayor John Stranges is stepping down.  In a statement, Stranges declined to say why he's leaving March 31st.

Trustees will select an interim mayor to finish the final year of Stranges' two-year term.

Stranges announced in 2012 he would not run for mayor, but was the only candidate selected by the Republican caucus. He won election to the seat after being unopposed.
