The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of Peter L. Kahovec, 52, of Canandaigua following an incident taking place at the Canandaigua National Bank located on Lakeshore Drive.
It is alleged Kahovec became upset and irate with an employee while on the telephone which prompted him to make a threat of violence by stating he was on his way to the bank with a gun. Canandaigua Police and the Ontario County Sheriffs Office quickly responded to the bank until Kahovec's whereabouts was determined. Kahovec was later taken into custody at his residence without incident. A weapon was not found on his person or at his residence. Kahovec was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree. He was arraigned and committed to the Ontario Co Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
