445pm Update
The State Assembly passed the gun bill Tuesday afternoon 104-43. Minority Leader Brian Kolb of Canandaigua was not happy with the way the measure was handled.

58th District State Senator Tom O'Mara of Big Flats was one of 18 State Senators to vote against the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act which establishes tighter gun control laws. O'Mara tells us this sweeping legislation was crafted in the shadows with no public input.
The measure now waits for Governor Cuomo's signature.
