A contentious relationship existed between the Cayuga County Administrator and now former Clerk of the County Legislature. A report in today's Auburn Citizen says an investigation late last year was put in place after Mary Jones filed a complaint last summer about a hostile work environment.
The investigation revealed no merit to the complaint, but did uncover "unprofessional behavior." The paper reports county officials were interviewed, where they told investigators that foul language is used in front of people who don't like it, sarcastic comments are made behind people's back, and some people talk louder than necessary. The Legislature voted to removed Jones from her role last month.
Tomorrow morning, Cayuga County Administrator Tom Squires talks to Joe Salzone on Finger Lakes Morning News.
