A Cayuga County man died early Saturday morning when his pick up truck left the road and ended upside down in a creek. New York State Police say 35-year Bradley Reed of Brutus died in the crash on Old Route 31 in Elbridge. Just after 7:00 Saturday morning, 911 received a report of a pick-up truck on its roof in Carpenter's Brook.
State Police say Reed was in his pick-up truck headed west on Old Route 31 when he lost control, went into the eastbound lane and hit a mailbox, guardrail and tree before ending up in water. Investigators say the crash happened sometime after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, but they have not been able to pinpoint a more specific time. The accident remains under investigation.
