Two Charged With Breaking Into Penn Yan Home

Two men have been arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a Main Street residence in the village of Penn Yan late last Wednesday evening.

27 year old Jeremiah Berch of Penn Yan and 27 year old Clarence Hall of Hammondsport are accused of attempting to enter the home with the intent to inflict bodily harm on the victim. Both were arrested after the victim was interviewed, along with the suspects, whose car was stopped a short time after the alleged incident.

Berch and Hall are charged with attempted burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy, all felonies. Each was sent to the Yates County Jail.
