Flu Spreading In Seneca County

Seneca County Public Health Director Vickie Swinehart says the flu has becoming a more widespread problem, but there aren't any real indications as to why.

She says it's becoming a bigger problem.

The flu can be debilitating for anyone unlucky enough to get it, but it can be deadly for young children and the elderly. Swinehart says the flu can spread quickly in a nursing home.

If you have the flu, try to keep your distance from children and the elderly.

It's never too late to get your flu shot! The Seneca County Public Health Department is holding a Flu Clinic for anyone ages 4 and up on Tuesday from 9 to 4. No appointment needed, just bring proof of insurance. If you don't have insurance, a $30 fee may apply, but no one gets turned away. For more information, call 315 539 1920.
