Newark Man Charged With Grabbing Woman's Car At Pizza Hut

Some frightening moments Thursday night for a woman in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut in Newark. A man came up to her and demanded that she drive him to Fairport. She refused. They struggled. He tried to drag her into the car. He knocked her to the ground and then grabbed her keys and took her car. Newark Police Chief David Christler says 31 year old suspect Seth Brown of Newark, who was captured in Palmyra, was desperate for a ride.
Brown is charged with robbery and Grand larceny with other charges pending . He is being held in the Wayne County Jail on 75-thousand dollars cash bail. His next court date is next Wednesday.
