Very early Monday morning a Penn Yan Police Officer noticed a suspicious car at Friendly Motors on Route 14A. The patrolman called the Yates County Sheriffs Office for back up and then proceeded to find 27 year old Brian Holland of Genesse Pennsylvania and 27 year old Cassie Green of Chaffee New York allegedly stealing 3 catalytic converters off of three new pick up trucks in the lot.
Upon further questioning and collection of evidence, authorities discovered Holland had been involved in dozens of such larcenies in New York, Pennsylvania and out west to Indiana. THIS morning a search warrant was served at Hollands home in Pennsylvania were more car and truck parts were found as well as a stolen pick up truck. Both Holland and Green are being held on 50-thousand dollars cash bail.
