Cayuga County Sheriff's Office's Snowmobile Unit Back in Action

Cayuga County's Snowmobile Unit is back in operation, thanks to funding from the U-S Department of Homeland Security and FEMA. Lieutenant Michael Wellauer says the funding has allowed for the unit to grow.

Wellauer says the unit will operate in Sterling and across Cayuga County in specific ways.

Funding will allow the county's snowmobile unit to remain active for at least the next three years.
