Prescription Fitness Physical Therapy and Sports Care Center's Dr. Josh Kerlan says they're moving their current physical therapy practice center from Liberty Commons to the corner of Washington and Reed Streets. Dr. Kerlan says that they help folks going through physical therapy after injury, disease, or surgical intervention.
The facility is moving into what used to be Finger Lakes Laundry. Dr. Kerlan says that the laundromat had been illegally dumping the cleaning byproducts and when the bank took over the property they found out when the DEC came in that the land had to be remediated. But he says the property had been remediated since then.
The facility offers state-of-the-art clinical rehabilitative equipment. Their facilities were designed around an exercise based treatment philosophy featuring an extensive gym area, objective testing equipment, and private treatment and consultation areas.
Dr. Kerlan is one of only several doctoral level physical therapists in the upstate New York area, and is one of under 200 board certified orthopedic clinical specialists in New York State.
