Ithaca DPW Collecting Discarded Christmas Trees Until February

Do you have a Christmas tree? Not sure what to do with it after the holidays? The Ithaca Department of Public Works will be collecting discarded Christmas trees this month, ending the week of February 1st. Trees may be placed at the curb and DPW crews should take the trees within a week or so. ONLY Christmas trees are being collected. The general waste collection program has been suspended for the winter months.

If you have yard waste that needs to be disposed of, you can bring it directly to the Tompkins County Solid Waste Facility at 122 Commercial Avenue.

For more information, call the Streets and Facilities Office at 607 272 1718.
