The man who served time for killing his wife in 1999 has been released from prison.
The State Department of Corrections confirmed that Walter Casper was released from Mt. McGregor Correction facility on December 21st.
In 2011, the New York State Parole Board sent Casper back to prison for violating his parole for possession of a weapon and fireworks in his Ontario County home in Honeoye.
Casper was released from prison in December of 2009 after serving prison time for killing his wife. Casper rolled the family mini-van over a cliff in Naples, killing Catherine Bly Casper in 1999.
An appeals court reduced his murder conviction to manslaughter, which led to an early release from prison.
