We now know the identity of the woman that was killed in Wednesday morning's fatal fire in the town of Tyrone. The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office reports 63 year old Sandra Porter of Dundee was found dead in the Six Corners Road home after fire spread through it around 2 Wednesday morning. Another occupant of the home, an unidentified man in his seventies, was able to escape with minor injuries. Bill Kennedy is Tyrone Fire Chief and Schuyler County Emergency Management Director.
Agencies assisting in the investigation are the Tyrone Fire Department, Schuyler County Emergency Management Office, and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control.
