Seneca County Habitat for Humanity volunteers have been working for the past nine months to rehabilitate a four-bedroom home in Waterloo for Christine Smith and her family, and now it's time to celebrate. Folks are invited to attend the home dedication Saturday at 10:00am at 15 Mill Street.

The 100 year old home was rebuilt to make it handicapped accessible for Christine's 15-year old daughter Brooklyn, who requires the use of a wheelchair from time to time. Brooklyn was born with a brain tumor and underwent many brain operations as a young girl. She's now cancer-free, but does have loss of her right arm. Christine has three other children, 21-year old Brian, 18-year old Brandon, and 4-year old Camri.

Smith will move into the house and pay rent until the mortgage is closed, which will be before the end of March of next year.
