Number Of New York Wineries Expected to Double By 2020

New York currently has 328 licensed and bonded wineries and New York Wine and Grape Foundation President Jim Trezise says that number is expected to  more than double by 2020. Right now he is taking in comments from wine makers on how the state can change laws to create an even more positive climate.

One possible idea involves more direct sales of product to consumers.

Trezise  says  Governor Cuomo "dramatically conveyed his support of the wine industry with a late October Summit in Albany."
