Canandaigua City Hall Clock Will Be Rededicated New Years Day

There will be a re-dedication of the Canandaigua City Hall tower clock on New Year's Day. City Manager Kay James told us about the history of the clock.

James said the clock was in dire need of repair.

She said the clock still rings by hitting the bell in the tower, so it still looks authentic. It's just that the way the bell is hit is different. James told us where the old mechanical works have gone.

The ceremony is at 11:15, and the clock will chime 12 times at noon to celebrate the people who have donated and worked to make the project happen.
