Auburn City Council Votes No on Proposed APD Contract

At the weekly City Council meeting, councilors voting against a proposed new contract for Auburn police. The contract included a 2% pay raise in the first year, then a freeze on wages in year two. Officers' uniform budget would have been included in their salaries.

In a 3-2 vote, councilors who said no expressed concern over how they could afford the contract given the city's financial condition.
