It's been a tough year. The economy is still recovering from recession. Many of us are hard pressed to give a little extra, especially around the holidays. Major Dennis Smullen of the Auburn Salvation Army says they still have a long road to go to hit their goal of $64,000.
Last year's goal was $50,000. Smullen says they'll try having additional people ringing bells this weekend. The bells will stop ringing on Christmas Eve.
