Merchants Hope For Strong Holiday Finish

Holiday shopping has plateaued in New York since Black Friday weekend, according to Rebbeca Flach at the Retail Council of New York State.

The never ending "Fiscal Cliff" debate is causing un-ease among some merchants.

Flach says shopkeepers by and large are confident about a strong finishing week.

Home electronics, including televisions, tablets and smartphones are the biggest movers this shopping season along with gift cards, affordable accessories, clothing, jewelry, books and toys.
