Ahead of tomorrow's final vote in the Cayuga County Legislature on next year's county budget, the Ways and Means Committee discussing additional changes. In their monthly meeting last evening, Legislators talked about funding the county fair.
No decisions were made, but there was a lot of talking. Tomorrow the Legislature can suggest changes, or keep the budget as it is now before voting on it. County Clerk Sue Dwyer hoping funding for the DMV's new electronic Q-Matic system will be added. It's been part of the county clerk's budget for the last three years, but not this year.
Dwyer says the new system, which costs about $11,000, would eliminate wait times and save the county in local taxes.
