Fayette Residence Total Loss After Fire

Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports that Deputies responded to a structure fire at 3100 State Route 89 in the Town of Fayette. Deputies report a residence being used for storage suffered extensive damage and was ruled a total loss after catching fire at approx 1:45 AM on December 5, 2012. A secondary residential structure located at the same address also suffered extensive heat damage to the outside of the residence. The owners of the two structures, Gail Parks age 58 and Roswell Parks, age 56 were located inside the new structure and evacuated by Sheriff's Deputies.  The Canoga Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the fire with assistance from the Fayette and Seneca Falls Fire Department’s. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team. North Seneca Ambulance and the American Red Cross also assisted at the scene. Both structures were insured.
