The man accused of hitting a cyclist back in June in Ontario County is facing charges. John Stenzel was charged with leaving the scene of an accident where there was serious physical injury. He was also charged with tampering with physical evidence. The DA says Stenzel stuffed deer hair or tissue into the damaged headlight of his car to make it seem like he hit a deer. Stenzel is accused of hitting 42-year old Kevin Royston, who was riding his bicycle on a country road just west of Rushville. Royston's left leg was broken in 4 places and has to be amputated.
