Woman Killed in Farmington Crash Identified

The woman killed in the crash Tuesday evening in Ontario County has been identified.  25 year old Amanda Crow of Canandaigua was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 24 year old Ashlie White of Canandaigua when it was t-boned by a truck heading east bound on Shortsville Road in Farmington.  Both vehicles were sent 90 feet off the road and into a field after White failed to stop at a stop sign.  White and the driver of the truck walked away from the crash.  The accident occurred shortly before 8pm.  Troopers are investigating why the car ran the stop sign.

A two car accident at the intersection of Payne and Shortsville Roads in the town of Farmington Tuesday night claimed the life of one person. 

The accident happened shortly before 8 p.m. State Police say a car, traveling south on Payne Road, apparently went through a stop sign, or it had stopped, but then failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound pickup truck. The two vehicles collided, resulting in a female passenger in the car being killed.  The driver of the car suffered a head injury and the pickup truck driver was not injured. 

The identity of the victims has not been released.
