After weeks of discussion and debate, the Auburn City Council recently voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Mill Street Dam project. Once the $900,000 turbine is installed next year, Mayor Quill says it should successfully service Auburn for decades.
A state grant worth millions of dollars was on the line to get the project passed, but the Mayor says there was also a concern about timing.
