MULJAGIC
A Bosnian war crimes suspect is being held in Cayuga County jail while facing extradition. 50-year-old Sulejman Mujagic, who nows lives in Utica, is accused of killing a prisoner of war and torturing another man in 1995.
Bosnian authorites requested he be returned to his home country for trial. Federal authorities received word in 2008 that he was living in Utica, where roughly 4,500 Bosnian refugees now call home. They spent the last several years tracking him down.
Over 100,000 people died in the Bosnian war between 1992 and 1995.
