A Rochester woman hit the jackpot. Not the Powerball, but the largest progressive jackpot in New York State history.
Mildred Ramos-Soto was down to her last $20 while she was playing a Blazing 7's Hot Shot Wide-Area Progressive machine and she won over $510,919.99 last Sunday at Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack in Farmington. Her win is the largest ever at Finger Lakes, or any New York State video gaming facility.

“It was only the second time here,” Ramos-Soto told local media. “It was a miracle. I was praying for $3,000 and God added a few more zeros.”
The wide-area progressive game Ramos-Soto was playing is available state-wide at New York Lottery video gaming facilities. A percentage of each wager made on the machines contributes to the growing progressive jackpot, which could be won at any facility throughout the state. The largest payout from a wide area progressive previous to this was just over $480,000 last June at the Vernon Downs Casino & Hotel.
