1pm update:
At 1pm Ontario County Fire Coordinator Jeff Harloff was still at the scene of the fire that killed 26 animals inside a Goff Road home in the Town of Canandaigua. He continues to seek a cause of the blaze.

Two occupants and two fire figheters suffered smoke inhalation in a late Monday night house fire in the Town of Canandaigua. 55 year old Lori Hicks the owner of the house on Goff Road heard the smoke detector go off and spotted smoke coming from the basement.

Hicks breeds Alaskan Malamutes in her home and was able to rescue 7 of her dogs and 2 cats. 7 Adult dogs, 12 puppies and 7 cats were killed in the fire. Hicks and 66 year old Harold Power who lives at the house where treated for smoke inhalation and released from Thompson as were 2 Bristol firefighters. Bristol, Cheshire, Honeoye, East and West Bloomfield fire departments responded. The fire is under investigation
