
A one time grain mill built in 1900, located just east of downtown Canandaigua was badly damaged in a fire last evening. Canandaigua Fire Chief Mark Marentette says the vacant wood building at 168 Niagara presented a number of challenges.
The cause of the fire is unclear. The building was not insured according to the Chief. More than 60 firefighters from 5 Departments battled the blaze.
