Fire ripped through a century-old grain mill at 168 Niagara Street in Canandiauiga.
Ten area fire departments were calle to fight the fire that was reported by a passerby around 6-last night. Built in 1900 as a grain mill, the building was formerly the home of Antiques Unlimited. The massive wood building and grain elevator is flanked on one side by residential buildings and on the other by an empty lot and railroad tracks.
More than 60 firefighters from Crystal Beach, Hopewell, Cheshire, Canandaigua VA, and Farmington joined Canandaigua firefighters on the scene. Much of the interior was engulfed in flames.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
