The Macedon Police Department this afternoon released details on the arrest of 2 Rochester men last Thursday who allegedly stole items from 3 Monroe County marinas and an apartment complex. The report says 18 year old Richard Shultz and 20 year old Isiah Marrero, both of Rochester, over the course of 4 days stole over 72 marine batteries from boats in the marinas and scrapped them at Alpco Recycling center in Macedon. After a lengthy interview Macedon and Irondequoit Police Departments executed a consent search of Richard Shultz’s home and garage. Numerous flat screen TVs and other stolen property from the boats was discovered.
Shultz is charged with criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th and 5th Degree and Aggravated unlicensed operation for having a suspended drivers license. Shultz was arraigned in Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail 5-thousand dollars cash bail. Marrero was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th and 5th degree. Both go back to court next month.
