What's the Purpose of the Electoral College?

It's a phrase that we'll hear a lot of today, the "electoral college." Keuka College Associate Professor of History Chris Leahy tells us why our Founding Fathers established it.

                                      

Leahy says there's been many proposals in the past to try to abolish or modify the Electoral College.
